Aluminum Frame
This steam shower is a standalone unit. The drain connection is connected with a flexible hose line. The hot/cold connection is also connected with flexible lines as shown in the photo below. This makes it easy for the unit to be assembled and then pushed against the back wall. You also don't need an exact location for your drain which makes it simple to replace an old shower.
The electrical connection is hard wired into an electrical box that is already pre-mounted on the unit.
Heat Pump - (Add-On $199)
The heat pump is a circulating heater that maintains the water temperature in the whirlpool tub.
The heat pump will require a second 110v outlet, but you can run the heat pump off of the same circuit as the rest of the unit.

Overall the unit is great. I didn't realize that it had the double handhelds until my husband got it set up. That was a big plus because we can shower with our own temperature water. We love it, and we highly recommend this unit to others.

I special ordered the 220v, but wish I would have just stuck with the 110v that was in stock. It was a pricey pain getting the 220v line ran to my space, and I don't see any big energy savings like my contractor said I would. Shower is cool though. - Bo
